Colleen M. Story<\/strong> is an award-winning novelist who writes historical fantasy and supernatural thrillers for readers who love deep characters, immersive worlds, and stories that stir the soul.<\/p>\n

Her novel The Curse of King Midas<\/em><\/a>, Book I in The Midas Legacy<\/em> series, was a top-ten Claymore Award finalist prior to publication and went on to win silver and bronze awards from Reader Views and Readers\u2019 Favorite. Book II of The Midas Legacy\u2014The Gimirri Invasion<\/a>\u2014<\/em>released in June 2025. Other novels include The Beached Ones<\/em><\/a>, a haunting supernatural tale, and Loreena\u2019s Gift<\/em><\/a>, a Foreword Reviews\u2019 INDIES Book of the Year winner.<\/p>\n

Colleen has also written several popular books for writers, including her latest release, Escape the Writer’s Web<\/em><\/a>, a Readers’ Favorite and Reader Views Award Winner, as well as Writer Get Noticed!<\/em><\/a>, Overwhelmed Writer Rescue<\/em><\/a>, and Your Writing Matters<\/em><\/a>, all award-winning titles that help creatives thrive in a distracting world.<\/p>\n

A longtime freelance writer, Colleen has contributed thousands of articles to publications like Healthline<\/em> and Women\u2019s Health<\/em>, and worked with clients ranging from Gerber to Kellogg\u2019s. These days, she splits her time between writing fiction, supporting fellow creatives, and helping clients craft meaningful content.<\/p>\n

She grew up on a Colorado ranch making up stories on horseback, which probably kick-started her habit of getting lost in imaginary worlds. A lifelong musician, she still plays French horn in her local symphony and teaches music on the side. When she\u2019s not writing new stories or building resources for writers, she\u2019s watching the latest sci-fi or spy thriller and inventing new games for her very clever German Shepherd.<\/p>\n
