Colleen M. Story is an award-winning novelist who writes historical fantasy and supernatural thrillers for readers who love deep characters, immersive worlds, and stories that stir the soul.

Her novel The Curse of King Midas, Book I in The Midas Legacy series, was a top-ten Claymore Award finalist prior to publication and went on to win silver and bronze awards from Reader Views and Readers’ Favorite. Other novels include The Beached Ones, a haunting supernatural tale, and Loreena’s Gift, a Foreword Reviews’ INDIES Book of the Year winner. She grew up on a Colorado ranch making up stories on horseback, which probably kick-started her habit of getting lost in imaginary worlds. A lifelong musician, she still plays French horn in her local symphony and teaches music on the side. When she’s not writing new stories or building resources for writers, she’s watching the latest sci-fi or spy thriller and inventing new games for her very clever German Shepherd.
