North Mountain

This past weekend, Storm and I got a chance to go hiking in Idaho.

We saw some beautiful fall colors. I got several pictures. Enjoy!

Poop Tree!
I didn’t know what these were, but they were very strange looking. I later learned that the black stuff is “black knot fungus” growing on the trees, also called “poop on a stick!”

Thanks, Lydia! It was great to get out in the hills for a few hours at least! :O)

Come on over, Barbara! It’s beautiful here! Course it will be rather nasty once the winter hits! We do tend to get quite a bit of snow. Maybe next spring?

  2. “Poop on a stick?” Good to know! 🙂 I always loved spring and fall in Idaho, but shoveling snow was the deal-breaker for me!

Ha ha ha. Right? That was a new one for me! Yes shoveling is something we definitely do, so I don’t blame you! Though the last couple of years have been on the mild side. With the early October storm we got, I’m thinking this year we may get hit harder. Thanks for reading, Anne!
